Clear boundaries

Useful conversations do not need personal details.

This page explains the product boundaries built into SiteConsul. It is a plain-language product summary, not a substitute for the privacy notice of a customer website.

What the advisor uses

SiteConsul analyses the public pages a customer authorises it to analyse. During a conversation, it uses the visitor's message, a small amount of recent conversation context and the relevant source evidence needed to answer the question.

What visitors should not enter

The advisor does not need names, contact information, account details or payment information. The widget reminds visitors not to share them.

Minimisation before processing

Recognisable e-mail, phone, IBAN, payment-card and Turkish national-ID patterns are masked before the message is stored, searched or sent to a model. Free text can still contain personal information, so the reminder remains important.

Site boundaries

The embedded advisor stays tied to the customer's authorised domain. It answers with bounded website evidence and only renders links verified against that same site origin.

Retention

Visitor data is kept only as long as it's useful, then permanently deleted or distilled into anonymous aggregates.

  • Visitor conversations & messageskept 90 days from last activity, then permanently deleted after being distilled into anonymous aggregates
  • Search traceskept 30 days
  • Transactional email contentrecipient address and template payload cleared 7 days after delivery reaches a terminal state; the delivery record (status/timestamps) is kept
  • Permanent anonymous insight aggregatescounts and normalized question labels only, never full messages, visitor ids or conversation ids; kept indefinitely

What this page does and does not cover

  • Each customer website remains responsible for its own visitor notice and lawful use of its advisor.
  • SiteConsul keeps customer workspaces and site knowledge separated during retrieval and conversation processing.
  • Formal privacy, retention and deletion terms will be published with the production operating model before public availability.
